Mr. Ballard’s practice includes corporate, business and real estate transactions and corporate governance matters. Mr. Ballard provides legal services with the following types of matters:

• entity formation, including the drafting of articles of incorporation, bylaws, articles of organization, operating agreements, and amendments to these documents
• the structure and capitalization of new and existing business entities
• asset and equity purchase transactions
• negotiation of loans and related security instruments and review of loan documentation
• purchase and sale of real estate, including land and office buildings
• real estate lease transactions
• negotiation of easements and other real property interests
• development of new projects and business opportunities
• negotiation of construction and design professional contracts
• documentation and resolution of construction disputes and claims
• governance issues
• legal opinions

For many years, Mr. Ballard has worked closely with a local nonprofit public benefit corporation which owns and operates a mass transit system and currently serves as its outside general counsel and corporate secretary. He also served as general counsel of a local public works contractor.

He is admitted to practice before all Nevada state and federal courts as well as the Ninth Circuit of the United States Court of Appeals.
